Christmas Party — Valga

The December light is gone by half past three, and Valga's halls are cold until the rig goes up. A Christmas party moves on the crew's schedule — cable runs before the caterer arrives, audio tested while tables are still stacked, the brief half-hour when the room sits finished and empty before anyone walks in.

We build from the power in. Drape to kill the echo, spots angled so faces aren't lit from below, enough distributed sound that the speech at the front reaches the back without a delay gap. The room works or it doesn't, and that shows in the first five minutes.
