Company Party — Kuressaare

Most company parties in Kuressaare fail in the last forty minutes before arrival. The venue looked fine at three, then someone discovers the one toilet that locks from the outside, or the AV lectern has a German plug and the adaptor is in Tallinn, or the seasonal bartender has never poured a long drink and the queue forms instantly.

We arrive early enough to find it. Power is traced to the breaker, sight lines are walked from the back row, the bar is stocked left to right in the sequence drinks are actually ordered. What breaks has time to be fixed, and most of what breaks is simply a matter of having checked.
