Graduation Party — Narva

Graduation in Narva falls in June, which means daylight until ten and a room that can overheat by seven. The power in older halls was sized for overhead bulbs, not a stage rig, so the first question is always whether the service panel can carry the draw. If it can't, the generator comes in the night before.

Sound is the harder piece. Concrete and tile throw everything straight back, and a graduating class fills the room once — there is no rehearsal to tune against. We rig for the room as it will be, not as it is when we arrive.
