Company Anniversary — Narva

Most anniversary events fail in the first twenty minutes. The room is still being dressed when the first guests arrive, or the screen that was supposed to run the founder's video won't talk to the laptop, or the caterer thought someone else was bringing extension leads. None of it is dramatic, and all of it is visible.

Narva venues have their own constraints — power routing that doesn't match the floor plan, loading access that closes at five, a billing address that takes three tries to get recognised by a Tallinn payment system. We rig the room the morning of, run every input while the space is still empty, and stay until the last case is back on the truck.
