Company Anniversary — Saue

The truck arrives at the Saue venue at seven, and the first thing the crew does is walk the room with the floor plan from three months ago. Half the time a wall has moved or a bar appeared where the stage was marked. Company anniversaries lock the date early and the venue late, which means the rig gets specced twice: once when the deposit goes down, again when someone finally measures the actual ceiling height.

What moves the cost is almost always the same thing: whether the room has power where you need it, and how much of the lighting package has to hang from points that do not exist yet. A summer pavilion with no permanent infrastructure costs more to light than a winter hall with a grid, even when the pavilion is half the size.
