Conference halls in smaller towns tend to be multipurpose rooms, which means the acoustics were designed for nothing in particular. Tapa is no exception. Hard floors, flat ceilings, and walls that send every syllable straight back at the speaker — fine for a standing reception, unforgiving the moment someone holds a microphone.

You fix it with absorption, not volume. Drape the back wall, carpet the centre aisle if the venue allows it, and run the PA so the person in the last row hears the speaker, not the room. That takes measurement, not guesswork, and it is the difference between a session people follow and one they endure.
